Marina Bee is a trained Human Resources professional with a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations, who now uses her management and negotiation skills to navigate her three-generation family through the activities of daily living. She is the single parent of two boys and, along with her sister in the U.S., caregiver to her mother. She has a wonderful fiancé who cooks for her and the family – so long as she washes the dishes and takes out the garbage.

Marina’s way of coping is to find the humour in and write about being a member of the “Jam Gen,” traditionally referred to as the Sandwich Generation. Her writing has been published in The Globe and Mail, Reader’s Digest Our Canada and Neighbours of Windfields. Three of her stories have appeared in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series of books: A Memorable Outing with My Parents (Navigating Eldercare & Dementia, June 2021), The Pursuit of Privacy (Too Funny!, April 2022) and Concert Catastrophe (My Wonderful, Wacky Family, November 2022).

Marina and her family live in Toronto, Canada.
